World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item. The cost increases as the item level increases.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence characteristics of an armored weapon or. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that double or even eliminate chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade parts that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as you can to level 15.

In the endgame, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a stat by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are some rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

The use of the Glyph will boost all nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. For example, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, however, you may also want to be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The  item upgrading  system lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is also known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades the equipment they have it will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a problem in that it could cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it could waste lots of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The  item upgrade  r lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base as well as the required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can result in the item returning to its initial state and the player having to spend additional materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item fails to upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like the chance to crit attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time, or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded gains a crit chance increase that it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items could require different upgrades than regular gear. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
