World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrades allow players to raise the item level of armor and weapons that can be equipped. This boosts the power of the gear, as well as sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.

The items can be upgraded at any NPC who is an upgrader in the game. These NPCs can be found in the major questing areas or capital cities. You can also find upgrades for items in dungeons that feature high-level bosses, and speaking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system allows players to increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is very similar to that of gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor, but instead of using the currency that is appropriate players need to visit an item upgrader NPC to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be costly, especially when it comes to weapons and armor. Depending on which upgrade track you select, each item upgrade can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total cost can be very prohibitive for players who do not have the funds or are unwilling to grind them.
Fortunately the game lets players reroll an upgraded item with an additional tool available in the items menu. This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that has different bonuses. This can be useful to gain better results on items which are already upgraded. However, it can be a waste of time.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equipmentable items like weapons, armor and trinkets is to increase the item level. This increases their stats and can make them more effective in combat. A bonus stat will be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus is a mix of a substat that is guaranteed and a randomly generated stat that can vary from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can reroll an upgraded item by using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a new one. The new item will come with an additional set of bonuses as well as a lower base item level. The rerolled item will have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to keep in mind that the item rerolled does not retain its original level or even a fraction of its resources.
Rerolling some upgraded items is only possible if the item was upgraded was an Epic Rare, Rare, or Unique. Extraordinary items are also suitable for rerolling, however their original stats will be replaced by a flat bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will produce an ordinary version, while rolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.
A newly upgraded item could have extra modifiers, which can further increase its stats and improve its performance. These additional modifiers don't come with the upgrade cost. To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. Depending on the type of item, you'll require one or more Power Dices (Dice 6 is droppable from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 12 is available from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.
Time
Upgrades to items are a method to boost your ship's stats and gear without needing to level them up. Although upgrading isn't expensive, it is an effective way to boost your performance without having to spend a lot of time in combat. It's important to know the costs and benefits before investing your money or time.
Each upgrade increases the stats of an item by a specific amount and also offers a chance to gain a bonus substat increase. The random substat may range from a small increase to a significant boost. Certain upgrade components can be equipped with additional cosmetic effects. Upgrade components can be acquired by crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting or receiving them as gifts. In addition players can find upgraded items by using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs placed on tools for gathering are able to be swapped.
By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a a rerolling arrow, a player can roll it into an upgradeable item. This will alter the layout and let players select up to six items for "recycling". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with an item at level 1 similar to it.
