World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template ends in %, it will gain an additional 3% of the previous attack damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade may include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.
The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-tier version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're uncertain of how much they'll increase after a future reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a substantial chance that the item could become obsolete or even break if it fails. A failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.
In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions, are the most common. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Using a Glyph will boost all the nodes connected to it, and you should try to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance, a Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes, however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes too.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items lets players increase the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items are able to be leveled up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrade the item, and when enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrade the equipment they have, the base item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could be more expensive even if you do not require it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful but it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits the water. The item can be upgraded many times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The item upgrade r lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded a maximum of five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but more minerals and erons. However, players will have to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the costs listed above.
